Q: Can I use the Myvu viewers with my iPhone?
A: Myvu has not yet been certified �Works with iPhone�. However, Myvu �Made for iPod�
versions, like many iPod accessories, will work well with the iPhone when the iPhone is set to Airplane
mode. Certification is expected in September 2008 and an accessory cable available shortly.
*PleaseNote: This applies to Myvu Crystal, Myvu Shades and Myvu Solo Plus(Made for iPod) sold onhttp://www.homecinemacenter.com/category_s/49.htm. Myvu Solo, sold inother retail outlets, will not work with iPhone.
Q: What types of players does Myvu work with?
A: The Myvu personal media viewer Made for iPod versions work strictly with all video iPod models,
including the new iPod nano, iPod touch, iPod classic and the 5th generation video iPod models.
Myvu Universal (or Myvu Crystal Standard) edition will work with 5th generation video iPod models,
mostportable DVD players and select mobile phones and portable mediaplayers with video out capabilities. Myvu Universal/Standard does NOTwork with the new lineup of iPod devices.
Q: How do I connect the Myvu to my laptop?
A1:Some computers have a composite or S-Video output* that can be pluggedinto the Myvu with usually just a cable or adaptor. Composite (RCA plugconnection) or S-Video (circular plug with 4 or 7 pins) is thepreferred way to connect to the Myvu if it is available, because thereis no video
converter box required. Connect the Myvu using the RCA A/V cable included in the Standard
connection kit and either a RCA to RCA or RCA to S-Video adaptor found at any electronics retailer.
A2:Almost all laptops have an external monitor connection* (15 pinconnector) that can be used with a video converter to connect to theMyvu. You will need a PC to Video converter such as the AvermediaQuickplay (www.avermedia.com) or Grandtec PC to Video EZ(www.grandtec.com). These are powered by USB from your laptop, so theyare more mobile. There are many scan
converters like this availablewith varying quality and features. A simple way to test the converteris to use it with a TV first to get used to the setup, and then plug itinto the Myvu viewer using the Myvu RCA A/V cable. Be aware, there isusually significant loss in video quality and/or resolution through theconversion.

Q: Can I use my Myvu with the PSP?
A:Yes, with the PSP Composite Video Cable. Connect the PSP CompositeVideo Cable to the Myvu RCA A/V cable and select �Switch Video Output�in the �Connected Display Settings� menu. Unfortunately,
this connection type only works with UMD videos, not games. It is possible to see gaming display
by connecting to the PSP Component Video Cable if a component to composite video converter (typically very expensive) is used.
Q: Will the older Myvu Solo Edition work with the new generation of iPods?
A: No, the Myvu Solo edition will only work with the 5th generation iPod with Video (30GB, 60GB, 80GB).
Q: How long does the battery last? How do I charge it?
A:A fully charged Myvu Solo Plus or Crystal connected to a fully chargedportable media player has a run time of approximately four hours.Shades 301 has a battery life of 10 hours. Myvu comes with a mini-USBcable for charging that can be plugged into a USB wall adapter (notincluded) or laptop computer.
Q: I wear glasses. Can I use the Myvu?
A:There is a Myvu Clip-on lens available to accommodate eyeglass wearers.This low-profile lens snaps easily onto the inside face of the Mvyupersonal media viewer. The Myvu Clip-on lens package comes with a -2lens for slight focus adjustment, -4 lens for greater focus adjustmentand a blank lens template included for filling custom prescriptions.
Q: How is the image quality?
A:The image quality is very comparable to an iPod screen. For Solo Plusand Shades 301, Myvu provides a quarter VGA resolution (320X240). ForCrystal, Myvu provides a Full VGA resolution (640X480). Myvu doesn�tsacrifice image quality by diluting or pixelizing the image bystretching the field of view so you see a clear crisp image.
Q: Can I use the Myvu on a sunny day?
A:Yes, the viewer is considered a near-eye display and can be usedoutside as a daylight readable device. However, wearing a hat or visorwill improve the user experience.
Q: Are the Myvu optics adjustable?
A:No. The optical system is designed to accommodate comfortably aperson�s IPD (inter-pupillary distance, or distance between the eyes)of about 58 to 69 mm. If you find that one side of each eye is�clipped� or it is hard to see clearly, you may be out of this range.Sometimes it is possible to adjust the nosepiece so that the Myvulenses are closer to your eyes, allowing an increased IPD accommodation.
Thisis similar to looking through a small hole � the closer you are to thehole, the more of the scene can be seen behind it. The optical systemis designed this way to better maintain the rigidity of the productover its lifetime and to keep the system components small.
